Keyboard Shortcuts

Some really handy ones:

CTRL N

Did you know that typing CTRL N in Word or Excel creates a new document?   And in Internet Explorer it opens a new browser window.

CTRL ENTER

Typing CTRL ENTER in Internet Explorer wraps "http://www." and ".com" around a word in the address bar.   Try it: Type "amazon" in the address line in Internet Explorer then hit CTRL ENTER to change the address to "http://www.amazon.com".   Very handy and one of my personal favorites.

Click Click Click

Triple click in Microsoft word and you have yourself a paragraph!   Double clicking selects the word. Keep the mouse button down after the second or third click and drag to select multiple words or paragraphs.

SHIFT Click

Don't want the paragraph?   You just want the sentence?   Hold down the SHIFT key when you click in Microsoft Word and you get the sentence only.
